President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on September 11. The sides discussed the further development of bilateral relations, industrial cooperation, investment projects and transport corridors.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on September 11. This was reported by the President’s press service.

During the conversation, current issues concerning the further development of relations between Uzbekistan and Armenia, primarily in the trade, economic and investment spheres, were discussed.

The importance of developing new joint projects in the field of industrial cooperation was particularly noted. The need to strengthen interconnectedness through the development of logistics and transport corridors connecting the regions of Central Asia and the South Caucasus was also emphasized.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly appreciated the efforts to sign the Peace Treaty as soon as possible, which will serve as a strong foundation for regional stability and consistent development.

During the telephone conversation, the plan of events within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including within the framework of the United Nations and the Commonwealth of Independent States, was also reviewed.
