Canadian singer David Carroll, who performed the song “Don’t Fly Wizzness Class” about Hungary’s low-cost airline Wizz Air refusing to let Uzbek citizen Suhrob Ubaydullaev board a plane, has released a message on his Instagram page calling for full support of the track.

Carroll said:

*“Through our voices, we are telling the story of how Wizz Air disrespected Suhrob and three other people from your country. A few years ago, they were not allowed to board the plane, and the only reason seemed to be that they were from Uzbekistan. That is not justice.

Suhrob is standing up for his rights on behalf of you and other passengers, so that no one else has to go through the same unpleasant experience he did. You can help him — by sharing the video, liking it, and supporting with love. So please, keep doing that.”*

It should be reminded that in August 2023, Wizz Air did not allow Suhrob Ubaydullaev and three other Uzbeks to board a plane at Rome airport. As a result, the student, who was flying via Abu Dhabi on transit, lost his tickets, spent a week stranded from country to country, and returned home heavily in debt.

Not only did the airline unjustly deny him boarding, but it also failed to refund his money.

After the release of Carroll’s song, other Uzbeks also reported similar incidents with the same airline. The track was viewed over 40,000 times in just three days.

Back in 2008, David Carroll wrote a viral song about United Airlines after the company broke his $3,500 guitar and refused to pay compensation. The video caused the airline to suffer an estimated $180 million loss, leading to major changes in customer service strategies across the aviation industry.

So far, Uzbekistan’s aviation authorities or other official representatives have not commented on the case.

Afghanistan on the Geopolitical Chessboard of the Middle East

Against the backdrop of this dangerous crisis, with the international community’s attention focused on the direct participants in the conflict, Gaza, Libya, and Syria, it is appropriate to turn attention to Afghanistan, which, despite its peripheral position relative to the region, is also becoming involved in these processes. Israel and Iran seek to expand their spheres of influence both ideologically and strategically. In this context, South and Central Asia, including Afghanistan, are becoming key zones of geopolitical rivalry, especially for Iran.

Влияние националистической политики Индии на внутреннюю политическую стабильность и территориальную целостность

The Impact of India’s Nationalist Policy on Domestic Political Stability and Territorial Integrity

In the modern era, nationalist sentiment in India has significantly intensified. In particular, representatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which retained power in the April–May 2024 elections, are actively contributing to the further strengthening of this nationalist mood. On one hand, the rise of this nationalist policy is bringing India closer to states that are implementing similar systems — such as the United States, many European countries, and Israel — thereby fostering stronger alliances.
