Eric Meyer, Senior Official of the U.S. Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, to Visit Uzbekista
On June 9–10, Eric Meyer, a senior official from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, will be in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan.

According to the announcement, Eric Meyer will meet with high-ranking officials of the Uzbek government to expand cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan in the fields of security and trade.
“In addition to his bilateral meetings, SCA’s Meyer will also participate in the 2025 U.S.-Uzbekistan Annual Business Forum, organized by the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC). His visit aims to further elevate the U.S.-Uzbekistan strategic partnership and identify new opportunities in key areas of commercial cooperation,” the statement reads.
For information, Eric Meyer is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service and serves as a senior official in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs. In this role, he oversees U.S. policy priorities across South and Central Asia, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
