In Bukhara, more than 1,800 centuries-old trees are being relocated

According to the statement, as part of the reconstruction project of the A-380 "Guzar – Bukhara – Nukus – Beinao" highway, trees located within the construction impact zone on kilometers 218-228 (a 20 km stretch) are being relocated in accordance with legal requirements. A total of 1,824 fruit-bearing and ornamental trees will be moved to other areas.

"This process is being carried out in accordance with Paragraph 33 of Chapter 5 of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 22, 2022, No. 464," the statement said.

It was noted that out of the 1,824 trees, 151 have been relocated to the Baki Bukhara complex and the New Uzbekistan Park.

"Reconstruction work on the A-380 'Guzar – Bukhara – Nukus – Beinao' highway is being carried out in phases. During this process, all trees affected by the project will be relocated to new locations in compliance with environmental standards and current legislation," promised the Bukhara Ecology Department.
