According to CNN, a Pentagon report submitted to Congress noted that stocks of some types of ammunition at US military bases in the Middle East had declined following Iranian strikes.
Meanwhile, US spending on the military operation against Iran had reached $45.1 billion as of September 3. Of this amount, $43.6 billion was spent on the military operation, while another $1.5 billion was spent on fuel.
The Pentagon’s estimate is not final. It does not fully include the costs of repairing damaged military bases or some indirect expenses.
According to estimates by the US Congressional Budget Office, continuing relatively low-intensity military operations could cost the United States an additional $2–3 billion per month.
