In Russia, an Uzbek national died after being left in the woods by police officers
Two police officers in the Moscow region are set to stand trial after abandoning an Uzbek migrant in the forest. The man's body was found several months later, according to Mash. In May of this year, law enforcement officials detained a 45-year-old migrant who was intoxicated and left him in the woods between the villages of Dubrovo and Zagryazhskaya to "sober up." It is reported that they did not return for him, and as a result, he became lost in the forest.

Following this, the migrant's relatives filed a missing person report. His remains were only discovered in September—having been consumed by animals.
The junior lieutenant and senior sergeant who were the last to see the victim have been detained. The police officers have been dismissed and will face trial for abuse of power.
