Ukraine drone strike kills two in Russia’s Tula region, 8 injured in Kyiv

Two people were killed and three others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Tula region overnight, regional Governor Dmitry Milyayev said.

In Saratov, a Ukrainian drone attack caused a fire at an Ozon logistics center. The company said there were no casualties in the incident.

Meanwhile, Russian air strikes on Kyiv injured eight people and caused a fire in a nine-story residential building. Reuters footage showed emergency workers fighting the blaze, while several windows in the building were blown out.

Both Russia and Ukraine deny deliberately targeting civilians. Reuters said it could not independently verify all reports about the attacks and their consequences.

The latest strikes come as diplomatic efforts to end the war continue, with US officials seeking progress toward negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
