Two-year-old girl from Fergana found with 135 magnetic beads in her stomach

It was revealed that the child had been playing with the magnetic beads and, during this process, swallowed a significant number of them. Over time, the beads accumulated in her stomach, posing a serious threat to her life. 

Her parents immediately sought help from the Fergana branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. Upon examination, it was discovered that the magnets had clustered on both sides of her abdomen. 

Doctors initially attempted conservative treatment and managed to remove 14 beads through induced vomiting. However, the majority of the beads remained inside. 

The parents then took the child to Tashkent, to the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. After further examinations, she was taken to the operating table.

"Thanks to the efforts of the medical team, 135 magnetic beads were removed from the girl’s stomach. The complex surgery, which lasted four and a half hours, was performed by Dr. Habibulla Akilov, a professor and doctor of medical sciences, along with experienced specialists such as Nozim Ormonov and Dilmurod Sabirov," the report stated.

At present, the girl is under medical supervision and is feeling well.
