Seven people were arrested during a meeting in Samarkand
In Samarkand, seven employees from the energy sector were arrested during a meeting on the fight against corruption in the energy industry. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

Samarqandda yigʻilish davomida 7 kishi qamoqqa olindi
According to the report, on February 14 of this year, a critical meeting was held in Samarkand region under the leadership of the Deputy Prosecutor General, Sh. Aminov, to address corruption cases in the energy sector and transform the system into a "corruption-free industry."
The meeting was attended by employees from Regional Electric Networks and Regional Gas Supply joint-stock companies, as well as branches in Samarkand region, districts, and cities, along with other responsible officials.
During the meeting, seven employees of supply companies, who were accused of committing corrupt crimes, were placed under arrest as a preventive measure.
Additionally, at the end of the meeting, the heads of supply companies were instructed to make significant changes in the sector to prevent corruption, strictly ensure compliance with labor and performance discipline, and especially to strengthen preventive measures among employees.
